"Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit."
Paul the Apostle
How important is our body
compared to our spirit one may wonder. Perhaps it's the difference between the temporal and the eternal. Our spirit is of more lasting quality, for sure, but that doesn't relieve us of the responsibilities, pleasures, and sufferings of living in the dwelling known as our body. |
We generally care for our physical needs to survive and be comfortable, but what happens when things go wrong? Sometimes, when in pain, for instance, it's hard to think of anything else. And if we don't care for our body properly or absorb too many toxins, our body can generate feelings of sadness, depression, irritability, or anger without a known cause. We may even blame others for our negative feelings, treating them harshly with short tempers in unloving ways. In this way, our body affects both our soul and spirit as well as those around us. So for everyone's sake, let's treat it well!

"The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light." Jesus Christ
While it's no great revelation that when our body is not well, we can feel sad or cranky, it's less understood that when our body functions at optimal levels, we can begin to experience the joy and energy we need to shine in a world of darkness. This process begins with the clarity of our vision, or how we see things. If our vision is "darkened" by false ideas that are harmful or limiting in any way, this blocks the light of heaven from flowing into our body. This is where our mind comes into play regarding our health. We have heard so much about how positive attitudes and beliefs are important to our overall outlook on life, but they are equally essential to our health, both physically and spiritually. |
Heaven's Tree is primarily a ministry project that will eventually be supported through Amazon commissions for any purchases referred from this site. The main purpose of Heaven's Tree is not to make money and never will be. But in order to put the time and expense into the site that's required for maintenance and expansion, we feel these commissions will not interfere with our primary goals to benefit others in the most effective ways possible.
